I just watched your interview with Bill Moyers. I haven’t read your book. Maybe I need to. But from what
I watched I simply disagree with many of your premises and your mistaken history about the Right and your uniformed view about the sordid racial history of the United States and what you labeled the so-called “victims groups.
I am not a Democrat, but I do agree that the Democrats have done a terrible job of making moral arguments in support of their vision of America in order to counter the corporate Republicans talking points.
I view the Obama and the Democrats as moral cowards and the Republicans as beyond cynical and greedy.
Well, there’s proof for your argument. Demonization, black and white, drinking from the same trough that believe that republicans are nothing but “corporate” hacks.
I love how you have framed the political situation. Your view of the 5 measures of morality are a curious surmise that makes me want to investigate further.
After seeing just a few minutes of the Bill Moyer interview, I knew I had to have the book. I am so excited to ponder the information that I feel this book will bring. The only thing that could make my anticipation greater is if the role of wealth and money could be woven into the discussion. As I look back through church history and history in general it became obvious to me that any discussion of politics and religion would have to include the influences of wealth. Maybe this could be another book. In the mean time, I look forward to your release.

I wonder what group scores highest in all five?
